Position Summary

The Cash Operations Manager provides strategic and day-to-day leadership for cage, credit, and count team operations. This position develops, executes, and maintains systems and procedures designed to safeguard company assets, including cage funds, while ensuring compliance with company policies, casino regulatory requirements, and internal accounting and control standards. The Cash Operations Manager provides leadership to assigned teams while supporting financial accountability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Practice, support, and maintain the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures designed to safeguard company assets.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching, counseling, and other personnel-related activities for assigned departments.
  • Facilitate and ensure completion of employee performance reviews within the department.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls that support efficient operations, gaming regulatory compliance, and sound accounting practices.
  • Handle guest service and employee-related matters with composure, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Develop and implement Currency Transaction training, auditing, and reporting procedures.
  • Approve guest credit within established authority limits and ensure the accurate, efficient, and discreet collection and distribution of required credit information.
  • Review applicable gaming regulations regularly to ensure cage operations remain compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain communication with the Security Manager and banking partners to identify variances and ensure the proper handling of monies.
  • Coordinate audits of bank boards, guest deposits, and rotation logs.
  • Ensure appropriate coverage for each bank and develop effective systems of checks and balances.
  • Provide input and direction in the development and monitoring of fiscal budgets and division operations.
  • Support operational strategies designed to achieve short- and long-term profitability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
  • Seven (7) years of casino operational finance experience with progressive supervisory and managerial responsibilities.
  • Thorough understanding of casino operations, including cage and count team operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of energy and productivity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License.

  • Frequent movement throughout casino, finance, cage, and count team operations.
  • Exposure to loud noises, chemicals and fumes, dust, work safety hazards, and varying environmental conditions.
  • Exposure to secondhand smoke.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Requires physical mobility, coordination, balance, and endurance throughout assigned work periods.
  • Requires sustained concentration and attention to detail with limited opportunity for breaks.
  • Requires strong memory, analytical thinking, conceptual thinking, and complex decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations as required by cash and financial operations.
  • Frequent verbal, written, and non-verbal communication with employees, guests, leadership, security, banking partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Schedule

  • Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, team members must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
  • Travel is not required for this position.
