Job description

Project Manager - Data Center Infrastructure
Dell Technologies Professional Services is seeking a Senior level Project Manager - to lead and govern our most complex, high-stakes deployment programs - including large-scale GPU and network rack installations across enterprise data center environments. This is a senior advisory role that demands strategic thinking, seasoned judgment, and the ability to operate as the definitive value orchestrator across multi-project portfolios, on-site within customer data centers. You will set the standard for ensuring that what was sold is precisely what is realized, applying predictive risk intelligence and an AI-forward delivery philosophy to protect outcomes and accelerate customer success.
What you'll achieve:
You will define and elevate the practice of deployment project and program management within Dell Technologies, leading strategic engagements that directly influence customer confidence, contract renewal, and long-term partnership growth. From governing multi-workstream execution and shift-level operations to resolving complex onsite escalations across engineering, construction, networking, and operations teams, you will shape how our customers experience the full power of their Dell Technologies investment - and mentor the next generation of consultants to do the same.
Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Project Manager on our Services Project/Program Management team.
Responsibilities
You will:
  • Lead and govern complex, multi-workstream deployment programs - including GPU, network, and large-scale compute rack installations - travelling regularly to customer data center sites to provide executive-level oversight, manage daily execution, resolve escalations, and ensure uncompromising delivery quality.
  • Operate as the senior value orchestrator and trusted strategic advisor to customer leadership, ensuring end-to-end alignment between the contracted solution and realized business outcomes while serving as the senior onsite point of contact for deployment status, risk, and cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Architect and institutionalize predictive risk frameworks that surface early warning signals - resource constraints, schedule drift, vendor coordination gaps, construction readiness delays, and logistics blockers - and drive pre-emptive intervention strategies that protect both the customer and Dell Technologies.
  • Identify and champion lifecycle value and expansion opportunities across the portfolio, partnering with sales, pre-sales, and customer success teams to translate delivery insights and shift-level reporting into actionable growth strategies and deeper customer relationships.
  • Champion adaptability, AI-driven delivery innovation, and continuous improvement, mentoring and onboarding junior consultants and onsite resources while embedding emerging tools and methodologies that future-proof deployment operations and raise the performance bar across the practice.

Qualifications
Take the first step towards your dream career
Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here's what we are looking for with this role:
Essential Requirements
  • 10-12 years of progressive experience in project and program management within technology services, IT infrastructure deployment, or data center operations, including significant leadership of complex, customer-facing programs with multi-million-dollar scope
  • Outstanding executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder influence skills, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate across engineering, construction, networking, and operations teams and to operate as a credible strategic advisor to C-level customer sponsors and senior internal leadership.
  • Proven expertise in governing concurrent, multi-workstream deployment portfolios with rigorous scope, schedule, financial, and risk management - including real-time issue resolution, daily and shift-level reporting, and experience recovering distressed programs
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to customer data center sites across the US, including extended onsite rotational periods, and to adapt seamlessly to dynamic, fast-changing environments
  • Demonstrated ability to apply formal problem-solving and issue-resolution methodologies to maintain project momentum, particularly during the real-time troubleshooting and escalation scenarios common in large-scale deployments
  • Strong technical acumen that enables effective engagement with architects, engineers, vendors, and deployment teams. While these roles are not expected to perform technical design or implementation work, technical fluency helps build credibility, facilitates informed decision making, and allows the PM to challenge assumptions, ask the right questions, and drive discussions toward resolution rather than simply serving as an intermediary

Desirable Requirements
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and related scheduling platforms. These roles will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and adjusting complex, multi-workstream deployment plans throughout the project lifecycle
  • A genuine enthusiasm for AI, automation, and emerging technologies - particularly experience with AI data center networking technologies and high-performance fabrics such as InfiniBand, NVIDIA NVLink, and 400G/800G Ethernet. While detailed design and implementation expertise is not required, an understanding of these technologies supports more effective installation sequencing, cross-functional coordination, risk identification, and escalation management

Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $154,700 to $200,200.
