Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Services Manager, provides safe and courteous transportation to clients participating in rehabilitation programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides safe, courteous transportation to clients participating in the rehabilitation programs.
  • Maintains cleanliness, fueling, and operational readiness of assigned vehicles.
  • Drives staff when necessary to perform professional activities.
  • Demonstrates quality customer service as perceived by all customer groups and is ethical in relationships with consumers, coworkers, families, visitors, and members of the community.
  • Assists clients with mobility aids, adaptive tools, and personal items during entry and exit from vehicles.
  • Supports off-site training activities and field trips as needed by the instructional team.
  • Communicate promptly with staff and clients regarding schedule changes or delays.

Additional Functions:

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent driving record
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and mid-afternoons
  • Available for on-call driving assignments with 48 hours' notice
  • Ability to use own vehicle or company fleet vehicle (mileage tracking required)

Working Conditions:

  • Considerable daily travel, usually within a 20-mile radius of campus
