Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Location: Comfort Inn Atlanta Downtown
Job Summary:
The Houseperson plays a key support role in the housekeeping department by maintaining the cleanliness and order of public areas, delivering supplies to room attendants, and assisting with guest requests. This position ensures a smooth operation of housekeeping services and a clean, welcoming environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, elevators, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Deliver linens, towels, amenities, and cleaning supplies to room attendants.
  • Remove trash and dirty linens from guest room floors and housekeeping carts.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects, furniture moving, and special setups as needed.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests such as extra linens, pillows, or rollaway beds.
  • Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping closets and ensure carts are stocked.
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
  • Assist with laundry or room cleaning tasks during busy periods or staff shortages.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping or custodial experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Good physical stamina; able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs throughout shift.
