Job description

Summary
Department Supervisors are the front-line employees who ensure our stores are neat, clean, and well merchandised. The department supervisor provides our customers the silent sellers of visual presentation, signage, and organization to guide the customer through our stores and build their purchase. Their product knowledge and superior service are a critical part of our store team. This position also trains and develops associates to assist in their area. This supervisor works with and through their department assistants and other sales associates.
Responsibilities
  • Model and Drive Superior Service; Practice and teach customer service techniques.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities within your department. Follow-up on results. Provide direction and guidance.
  • Motivate department assistants and sales associates. Maintain a positive work environment.
  • Merchandise the sales floor; execute and maintain standards for presentation, signage, and product lifecycle in assigned department.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with associates, customers, and corporate officials.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products within the store, respond to questions and make recommendations about other products.
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize company reports and tools; and collaborate with leadership to deliver results in assigned department.
  • Assist team members in other areas as directed by supervisor or management
