We provide services including foil stamping, embossing, die cutting, laminating, UV coatings, folding & gluing, and more.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for our 2nd shift. We’re looking for someone with a strong mechanical background who can troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment to keep our operation running safely and efficiently.

This position will eventually work independently on 2nd shift, so previous hands-on machine maintenance experience and strong problem-solving skills are important.

🕒 Shift & Training

  • Regular Shift: Monday-Friday, 3 PM - 11 PM
  • Shift Differential: $0.75/hour
  • Training: Approximately 3 months of 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift; training length may vary based on experience and progress

What You'll Learn & Do

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and make necessary repairs to minimize downtime
  • Inspect equipment and identify wear or potential problems before failures occur
  • Perform routine adjustments, lubrication, and equipment maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair chain-driven and gear-driven equipment
  • Assist with electrical troubleshooting and repairs when appropriate
  • Follow electrical and equipment safety procedures, including safe practices when working around electrical components
  • Assist with building maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment
  • Communicate with Machine Operators and production leadership regarding equipment issues and repairs
  • Maintain a safe, organized work area and properly document maintenance work
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on machine maintenance experience required
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of electrical safety and the ability to recognize electrical hazards
  • Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and mechanical systems
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with Machine Operators and production teams
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must furnish your own mechanic's set of metric and standard tools and locking toolbox
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
Electrical experience is a plus, but not required. Candidates with experience troubleshooting motors, controls, VFDs, or other industrial electrical systems are encouraged to apply.
Why Join MCD?
  • 100% Employee-Owned (ESOP): Your work directly contributes to your future.
  • Team Culture: We value respect, communication, and shared success.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, PTO, 8 paid holidays, employer-paid disability, and more.
