Job description

NEEDED: Dental Hygienist

LOCATION: 1 Glen Ray Road, Alderson, West Virginia, 24910

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Dental Hygienist is required to be certified/licensed as a dental hygienist in the state of West Virginia and must submit photocopies of their license and/or board certification.
  • Shall be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart.
  • Must have 1 year of experience as a Dental Hygienist

JOB DUTIES:

  • Providing dental prophylaxis and topical fluoride application on the AIC who are referred by the dental staff.
  • Providing thorough individualized oral hygiene education and instructions to each patient.
  • Monitoring oral hygiene and periodontal condition on each patient seen for dental prophylaxis.
  • Completing necessary dental x-rays as specified by the dentist.
  • Maintaining accountability of sharps and syringes.
  • Assisting with sick call and the dentist when needed.
  • Sterilizing instruments used for prophylaxis and other instruments as specified by the dental staff.
  • Performing necessary paperwork related to scheduling patients for dental prophylaxis as directed by dental staff.
  • Monitoring, stocking and organizing of dental clinic supplies, assisting with ordering of supplies for the chief dentist, and any other duties assigned by the dentist in accordance with the job duties required.
  • Use of electronic medical records and proper documentation for patient information and scheduling of appointments.
