Both Dentist Gpr and General Dentist require a dental degree and licensing. The Gpr provides specialized hospital experience, whereas General Dentists handle a broad range of dental services in outpatient settings.

What is a Dentist GPR?

A Dentist GPR, or General Practice Residency, is a postdoctoral training program for dentists who have completed dental school. This residency provides advanced clinical training in general dentistry, hospital dentistry, and patient care, often in a hospital setting. Dentists in a GPR gain experience managing complex cases, medical emergencies, and treating patients with special needs. The program typically lasts one year and helps dentists expand their skills beyond what is taught in dental school.
