How much do best dentist jobs pay per year?

As of Jul 18, 2026, the average yearly pay for best dentist in the United States is $189,979.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $131,000.00 and $236,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

Which field of dentistry makes the most money?

Oral and maxillofacial surgeons typically earn the highest salaries among dental specialists due to their advanced surgical skills and extensive training. They perform complex procedures such as jaw surgeries and facial reconstructions, often requiring additional years of residency and certification. General dentists and other specialists tend to have lower average incomes compared to oral surgeons.

What dentist is a billionaire?

There are no publicly known billionaires who are practicing dentists. While some dentists have accumulated significant wealth through successful practices or investments, becoming a billionaire solely from dentistry is extremely rare. Most wealthy individuals in the dental field have diversified their income sources beyond clinical practice.

What is a dentist and what do they do?

A dentist is a healthcare professional who specializes in diagnosing, treating, and preventing problems related to the teeth, gums, and mouth. They perform routine check-ups, cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions, and cosmetic procedures to help maintain good oral health. Dentists also educate patients about proper oral hygiene practices and can detect signs of other health issues that may manifest in the mouth. Seeing a dentist regularly is important for preventing dental problems and maintaining overall health.

What are some common challenges dentists face in managing patient anxiety, and how can they address them effectively?

Dentists often encounter patients who experience anxiety or fear during dental visits, which can make treatment more complex. Addressing this challenge involves clear communication, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment, and sometimes using relaxation techniques or sedation options. Building trust with patients through empathy and education is crucial, as well as staying updated on best practices in pain management and patient care. Collaborative teamwork with dental assistants and hygienists also plays a key role in ensuring anxious patients feel supported throughout their visit.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Dentist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Dentist, you need a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, a valid state license, and strong clinical skills in diagnostic and restorative procedures. Familiarity with dental radiography, practice management software, and sterilization systems is typically required. Excellent communication, empathy, and attention to detail help dentists build trust with patients and collaborate with staff. These skills and qualifications ensure effective patient care, accurate diagnoses, and a positive reputation in dental practice.

What is the difference between Best Dentist vs Dental Hygienist?

Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues, requiring extensive education, while dental hygienists focus on preventive care and patient education with specialized training. Both are essential for comprehensive oral health care.

What job in dentistry makes the most money?

In dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgeons typically earn the highest salaries due to their specialized surgical procedures and extensive training. They often require a surgical residency and handle complex cases such as facial trauma, reconstructive surgery, and dental implants. Their compensation reflects the advanced skills and high level of responsibility involved.

What's the highest-paid dental job?

Specialists such as oral and maxillofacial surgeons tend to have the highest salaries among dental professionals, often earning significantly more than general dentists. These roles require advanced surgical training, certification, and typically involve complex procedures in hospital or private practice settings.

Job description

Salary $300,000+ or $1000 daily rate
We are looking for an Associate Dentist in Twin Falls, Idaho

Advanced Dental Care of Twin Falls is a locally owned, single-location private practice — not a DSO — and we’re looking for a dentist who’s built solid skills and is ready to put down roots in a place that actually feels like home.
We’ve been voted Idaho’s Best Dental Office 2026 (+the last 6 years) and named Best Place to Work, Best Dentist, Best Dental Office, Best Customer Service, Best Ortho Clinic, and Best Local Business — because we focus on doing things the right way, for patients and for our team.
Our office was newly expanded and fully renovated to 16 ops (July ’25) and is fully equipped with the technology you’d expect in a top-tier practice:
4 iTero scanners
CBCT
In-office milling unit
3D printer
IV sedation setup

We’re looking for a newly graduated dentist or a dentist with experience or AEGD/GPR who has a growth mindset, care's about their reputation, and want's to work with a highly trained team with proven systems — without the pressure, politics, or corporate feel of a DSO. Yearly salary can be well over $300,000+ depending on skillset, days worked, and motivation.
Our commitment:
We’re committed to your success. We handle the business side so you can focus on the dentistry you love. Training, culture, and customer service are our secret sauce — and it shows with 2,400+ five-star Google reviews.
And enjoy beautiful views all days long, every treatment room overlooks the Snake River Canyon. No parking lots or buildings. Ever.
If Twin Falls is where you want to live, work, and build your future, we’d love to hear from you.
