Dental Program Manager information

What is a dental program manager?

A Dental Program Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the operations and administration of dental care programs within organizations such as clinics, public health departments, or healthcare networks. They manage staff, coordinate dental services, ensure compliance with regulations, and develop strategies to improve patient care. Their duties often include budgeting, reporting, quality assurance, and collaborating with dental professionals and community partners to enhance the effectiveness of dental programs.

What are some common challenges faced by dental program managers in coordinating care across multiple clinics?

Dental Program Managers often oversee operations at several clinics, requiring them to balance standardizing procedures with addressing the unique needs of each location. A common challenge is ensuring consistent quality of care and compliance with regulations across all sites. Effective communication and collaboration with dental teams, administrative staff, and external partners are crucial. Managers must also adapt quickly to changes in policies or public health guidelines, which can impact scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a dental program manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Dental Program Manager, you need expertise in dental healthcare administration, program development, and staff management, often complemented by a degree in healthcare administration or dental hygiene and relevant experience. Familiarity with dental practice management software, compliance regulations, and budgeting tools is typically required. Outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills help you coordinate teams, manage patient care programs, and foster positive relationships. These competencies ensure efficient program operations, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of high-quality dental services.

Job description

Program Manager - Salesforce Health Cloud
Brooksource
Fortune 50 Health Insurance Client
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Program Manager with a proven track record leading Salesforce Health Cloud implementations within large enterprise environments. This is a highly visible, contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a strategic initiative sponsored by executive leadership.
The ideal candidate has successfully delivered Salesforce Health Cloud implementations, excels at executive communication, and can bridge business and technology teams to drive complex enterprise programs. While this is not a hands-on technical role, the Program Manager should understand Salesforce Health Cloud architecture, SaaS implementations, integration concepts, and implementation best practices well enough to lead cross-functional teams and make informed strategic decisions.
This individual will initially oversee 2-3 projects, including a Proof of Concept (POC) launching through December. If successful, the initiative is expected to expand into a large-scale enterprise implementation over the next 2-3 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic Salesforce Health Cloud initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Partner closely with the IT Director and executive stakeholders to successfully deliver an initial Health Cloud Proof of Concept.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining alignment across business, technology, and vendor teams.
  • Translate business objectives into implementation strategies and ensure successful execution.
  • Communicate program status, risks, dependencies, and milestones to executive leadership, including VP and SVP stakeholders.
  • Drive governance, program planning, and cross-functional coordination throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce implementation partners and internal technology teams to ensure solution alignment.
  • Understand high-level Salesforce Health Cloud architecture, SaaS deployment models, integrations, and implementation approach to effectively connect business needs with technical delivery.
  • Identify risks, remove roadblocks, and ensure successful adoption of the solution across the organization.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of Program or Senior Project Management experience leading enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience leading at least one end-to-end Salesforce Health Cloud implementation.
  • Experience managing enterprise SaaS or cloud-based implementation programs.
  • Strong executive presence with experience presenting to Directors, VPs, and SVP-level leadership.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to understand high-level solution architecture, integrations, and implementation strategy without serving as the technical lead.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare or health insurance industry experience.
  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Health Cloud, or related credentials) are a plus.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience overseeing enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
