Job Summary

Mackenthun's Demonstrators play an essential role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience by educating customers about the store's products and services. Demonstrators interact with customers, provide product samples, and promote the unique offerings of Mackenthun's. This position requires an enthusiastic attitude, a passion for customer service, and a desire to share knowledge about the store's wide variety of products. Demonstrators must be approachable, knowledgeable, and able to engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner.


Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Cheerfully greet customers and engage with them in a friendly, welcoming manner.
  • Promote and demonstrate store products, especially Mackenthun's Signature products.
  • Educate customers on product features, qualities, and benefits.
  • Answer any customer inquiries regarding the products and services offered at Mackenthun's.
  • Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and safe product demonstration station.
  • Ensure all samples are fresh, properly stored, and maintained throughout the day.
  • Clean up the demo area at the end of the shift, adhering to sanitation and safety guidelines.

Additional Duties:

  • Monitor product quality and freshness throughout the demonstration.
  • Ensure that all safety and health standards, including Safe Lifting, Cut Prevention, and Slips, Trips, and Falls procedures, are followed.
  • Actively promote Mackenthun's Exceptional Experience to customers, enhancing their shopping experience.

Schedule/Availability:

  • Fridays from 11:30 AM -3:30 PM
  • Weekends, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 AM-2:30 PM
  • Special Event Days as needed with possibly different hours
  • May require demo support in Minnetrista store as needed

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • A positive attitude and a customer-first approach to service.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and solve problems as needed.
  • Strong interest in food products and a willingness to learn about Mackenthun's Signature products.
  • Must be able to perform basic math for inventory and product demonstrations.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
