Description
Tharros supports the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Support Equipment Department (SED) in Lakehurst, NJ. NAWCAD Lakehurst serves as the primary authority for Navy Aircraft Platform Support Equipment (SE) and supports numerous Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
We are seeking a Senior Logistician to lead our efforts in this critical initiative. In this role, the Senior Logistician will oversee the application of logistics and technical expertise to drive strategic decision-making for Department of Defense (DoD) aircraft SE logistics programs and projects. This leadership position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on key aviation support operations.
  • Analyze and coordinate ongoing logistical functions within the organization, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the entire product life cycle, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources.
  • Act as the lead for international logistics in support of aviation SE logistics programs or projects.
  • Apply logistics and technical expertise to support strategic decision-making for aircraft SE logistics.
  • Resolve complex logistics challenges, perform detailed technical or business case analyses, and ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Participate in and support program or project teams focused on aircraft SE logistics.
  • Implement government-instituted, cradle-to-grave product support and logistics data management processes.
  • Direct and mentor Journeyman and Junior Logisticians in logistics techniques, policies, and processes.
  • Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements
  • Master's degree (MA/MS) and 10 years of experience in acquisition and sustainment logistics OR
    • BS/BA and 12 years of experience in acquisition and sustainment logistics, with at least 6 years out of the 12 years in international acquisition and sustainment logistics
  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics program management within the DoD.
  • Proven expertise in managing and analyzing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements.
  • Prior operational command experience.
  • Experience with FMS.
  • Demonstrated capability in logistics and support system effectiveness analysis, studies, and evaluations.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
