Job description

Job Description:
Helper/Apprentice wanted for Chim-Chim Churee Chimney & Masonry to work with our lead technicians and learn the trade.

Responsibilities:
  • Your job would entail mixing mortar
  • Demolition of masonry
  • Loading material
  • Carrying the ladders
  • Keeping the van organized (putting tools back where they go, etc.) and any day-to-day things the technicians need assistance with. 
  • If they are speaking with a customer at the beginning or the end we are looking for initiative; set up/take down the ladder, clean up the tools, etc. 
  • You will be trained on all chimney and masonry-type jobs: installation of prefabricated chimneys, wood stoves, any repairs or masonry work, etc. 
  • Our work day begins at 7:00 am sharp and we usually work Monday-Friday every week except for major holidays or major weather. Beginning pay will depend on the amount of experience. Some Saturdays and overtime availabilities available.
  • Driving lead technician/mason between jobs so they can focus on their lead responsibilities. 
  • Working on roofs, scaffolding and heights daily.

We are looking for someone to start immediately as we are approaching the winter season and will need you on your toes by then. 
This is a full-time job with growth opportunities in the company. It is $16-22 starting pay. 
After the training is complete there is potential to advance to become a technician versus a helper. 
The compensation for a technician is between $22-33 an hour with the option of commission if sales are desired.
