Job description

Overview

The General Construction Laborer supports commercial construction projects by assisting skilled tradespeople, preparing job sites, handling materials, and helping maintain a safe and organized work environment.

What You'll Do
  • Assist carpenters and other trades with daily construction activities.
  • Load, unload, transport, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist with material placement, lifting, positioning, and installation activities.
  • Perform demolition, cleanup, and general site preparation work.
  • Inventory materials and restock supplies as needed.
  • Erect and work from ladders and scaffolding as directed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Follow company safety policies and jobsite procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support project needs.

What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Two (2) years of commercial construction experience preferred
  • Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing jobsite priorities
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Ability to safely use basic construction tools and equipment
  • Ability to meet physical job requirements, including: Standing or walking for extended periods, lifting and carrying 50-100 pounds, climbing ladders and scaffolding, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, working outdoors in varying weather conditions
