Position Responsibilities
The HR Intern will support Deltek's HR Operations team by reviewing and auditing personnel files to ensure proper document retention and compliance. This role offers hands-on experience in HR records management and provides a meaningful contribution to maintaining the integrity of Deltek's employee data.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and audit existing personnel files to assess document completeness and accuracy
  • Determine which documents should be retained in accordance with applicable policies and legal requirements
  • Identify and flag documents eligible for secure destruction/shredding
  • Organize and categorize files to support efficient records management
  • Assist in maintaining confidentiality and data privacy standards throughout the review process
  • Document findings and provide status updates to the HR Operations team
  • Support additional HR administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately review and evaluate large volumes of documents
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Basic familiarity with HR processes and personnel documentation
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of records retention policies and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Prior internship or coursework experience in an HR or administrative environment
  • Familiarity with document management systems or digital filing tools

Compensation Info
The U.S. hourly range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
