What you'll achieve

We are seeking a senior technical expert for complex, data-intensive environments. This role combines deep troubleshooting expertise with proactive solution design, helping customers achieve reliable, scalable, and highperformance data ecosystems. Develop a complete understanding of customer end-to-end data ecosystems, including Databases, object stores, file systems, and streaming platforms, ETL/ELT tools, BI platforms, governance frameworks, and AI/ML environments. Drive initiatives that elevate customer experience, platform stability, and longterm success

You Will:

  • Lead investigation and resolution of highseverity, multilayer incidents involving infrastructure, Kubernetes, data engines, storage, networking, and system integrations
  • Provide solution recommendations related to performance tuning, resiliency, data availability and recovery, configuration design, and integration best practices
  • Act as a technical bridge between Customer Support, Product Management, and R&D
  • Escalate product defects, influence roadmap decisions, and translate customer issues into actionable product improvements
  • Identify recurring patterns, systemic risks, and opportunities for optimization

Essential Requirements

  • 12 to 15 years of related experience
  • Strong root case analysis mindset, comfortable working backward from symptoms to underlying cause under time pressure
  • An agentic-first mindset, demonstrating proficiency in leveraging advanced AI tools such as Cursor and Claude, and integrating autonomous agents into the development workflow
  • AI/Data Engineering: Experience with distributed data processing frameworks and data lakehouse architectures. Python development, working with datasets, and AI/ML models
  • Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data pipelines, Elasticsearch, MS SQL, MongoDB
  • DevOps & Infrastructure: Cloud platforms, Kubernetes, observability/log pipelines, library and runtime environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Be able to explain complex technical issues clearly to customers

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience
  • Starburst or Trino experience
  • Experience with observability/monitoring tools for data pipelines (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus)

Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Salary Range for this role is $148,000 to $203,500.
