Job description

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.

Purpose:

To fulfill sales department expectations in the delivery of sold equipment with possible retrieval of customer trades. To fulfill service department expectations in picking up and delivering customer equipment for service repairs. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager and/or Service Advisor. Consistently exhibits Midwest Machinery Company's core purpose and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties in the pick-up and delivery of both dealer and customer equipment.
  • Maintains condition of service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
  • Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
  • Actively assists in recruiting service work
  • Interacts in a positive and respectful manner with customers and fellow employees
  • Maintains and promotes a safe work environment. Demonstrates understanding of and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate degree preferred
  • 4+ years of driving experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of the operation of Turf equipment; with the ability to operate vehicles and equipment in the delivery or retrieval process.
  • Ability to use basic computer functions in accounting for attendance and time allocation to proper repair orders requiring Midwest Machinery Company's Hauling of equipment.
  • Ability to use a forklift; forklift license preferred

Physical and Mental and Other Requirements:

  • Frequent bending and stooping
  • Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
  • Ability to climb onto and off trailer decks in the securing of equipment.
  • Predominantly working in the outdoors, occasionally in extreme heat, cold, rain or snow
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record required;
  • CDL A (Commercial Driver's License) with Tanker endorsement preferred
  • Must pass a pre-employment background study
