Retail Planting Teammate
Your Future Role:
Our Planting teammates fill a critical role in the planting and delivering of materials to our residential customers. This active, outdoor role is always on the move completing activities that requires usage of forklift, loading/delivery of products, digging to install plant material and adding to existing irrigation. Teammates in the position communicates with the Planting Service & Delivery Coordinator frequently throughout the day ensuring our team provides excellent customer service from start to finish. This position is also responsible for the care of plant material, maintaining equipment and tools to support landscape jobs.
Your Specific Job Responsibilities:
  • Upholds Moana Nursery's strict safety policies
  • Shows up on time ready work
  • Completes thorough and accurate pre-trip safety checks on each vehicle
  • Keeps vehicles clean and in good working orders
  • Communicates regularly with Coordinator to ensure Preventative Maintenance is completed regularly
  • Answers customer questions about our products and services
  • Utilizes tablet and dispatch management software to take the most efficient routes maximizing the number of trips in a shift
  • Promptly responds to customer needs, requests for service or assistance
  • Communicates using radios to other Moana teammates
  • Drives courteously and defensively every day
  • Carefully loads product into vehicles and unloads them safely for our customers
  • Lifts and moves heavy objects such as trees, bags of soil
  • Communicates with customers when in route or if there is a delay
  • Has the ability and willingness to interact with and provide exceptional customer service to our customers

Physical Requirements & Activity:
  • Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Applicant must be able to work outdoors for an extended period of time
  • Applicant must be able to work on their feet for an extended period of time

Expertise & Experience Requirements:
  • Experience for this role is not necessary, but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are

Nice To Have Skills or Experiences:
  • Valid NV Driver's License
  • Clean driving record
  • Experience operating equipment
  • Experience in the landscaping industry

Your Future Work Schedule:
Our retail stores are open 7 days a week and we are busiest on the weekend. We are looking for teammates that can work during the week, over the weekends and be flexible to accommodate the changing retail environment. Please make sure you list your availability on the application.
