Pay Rate Starting at: $23/ Hour-  Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.

SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The Deli Manager must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining deli products, as well as demonstrate competency in inventory control, ordering and receiving product, and labor management/scheduling. Strong organizational skills, as well as prioritizing multiple tasks are required. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide attentive and courteous customer service by fulfilling customer requests for deli products 
  • Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Deli operations, safety, and sanitation
  • Fulfill weekly product orders while adhering to store policy in order to maintain adequate supply levels
  • Maintain and enforce a aclean as you goa policy to ensure sanitary conditions at all times
  • Achieve financial goals such as sales gross profit maximization, as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense
  • Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product
  • Follow all store Shrink guidelines with regard to keeping track of all discards
  • Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Deli Department (i.e.: KLT, SIR380)
  • Selection, training, development and scheduling of Deli associates
  • Ensure proper temperatures are maintained in cooler, and cases and are in working condition
  • Reports to the Assistant Store Manager/Store Manager (where applicable)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Possess strong communication skills
