Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

To provide patient care under the direction of the RN, using the nursing process, in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Del Sol Medical Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  •  Demonstrates knowledge and application of sterile technique, instruments and supplies needed for surgical cases.
  •  Communicates, interacts and participates in teamwork on the unit.
  •  Practices, endorses and provides customer service skills to patients, visitors, physicians and staff.
  •  Demonstrates knowledge and respect of the patients right to privacy and protection of patient confidentiality.
  •  Communicates and participates in patient care activities in direct conjunction with the Registered Nurse.
  •  Other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or (NRST) Nationally Registered Surgical Technician
