Description
TeamHealth has a nocturnist hospitalist opening at Del Sol Medical Center with our hospital medicine program in El Paso, Texas. Join our established program working in one of the cities only level II trauma facilities. Candidates should enjoy a busy and dynamic working environment, while working a traditional 7-on, 7-off schedule.
Del Sol Medical Center has 379 beds with 100 floor beds, and we operate with 6 day-time physicians and 1 nocturnist physician daily. At this time, we are averaging 104 total patient encounters during the day shift and roughly 10-20 admissions at night with residents handling 10. This facility has a closed ICU with a fully staffed intensivist team, so procedures are not required.
Del Sol Medical Center has an internal medicine GME program with 2nd and 3rd year residents working alongside our physicians as well as a continuity clinic. We have all specialty supports available and Meditech is the current EMR in place; as this is an HCA facility.

Since 1974, 350-bed Del Sol Medical Center has provided quality healthcare to El Paso and the surrounding region. As the only full-service, acute care hospital in East El Paso with a level II trauma designation in emergency services, Del Sol Medical Center continues to expand its services to meet the growing needs of the tristate community, providing special expertise in cardiology, maternity & child services, a level III NICU, a Center of Excellence designation for our bariatric clinic and minimally invasive surgery center, and a newly renovated 32-bed rehabilitation hospital.
