Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Engagement Specialist is an imaginative and driven individual whose focus is on engaging our employees, strengthening our presence in the surrounding community, and improving the workplace atmosphere through events, programs and activities. This person will envision and implement a comprehensive employee engagement program that supports business goals and culture development, will own recurring forums for employee voice, will champion recognition of the diverse workforce that makes up our ranks, and will represent Creekstone in the communities we call home. This person will effectively use a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a "Creekstone Proud" culture through attitude and actions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage and host employee roundtables, including scheduling, facilitating discussion, capturing and distributing detailed notes to leadership, and tracking action items to resolution.

Lead community engagement efforts on behalf of Creekstone, including, with prior approval, representing the Company on community committees and at community meetings, and identifying opportunities to keep the Company connected and visible within the surrounding communities.

Champion diversity recognition by developing and executing ways to celebrate, recognize and elevate the diverse workforce that makes up our ranks.

Initiate, support, and execute the development of Company programs, such as an employee wellness program that encourages healthy life choices, from concept through rollout and ongoing improvement.

• Plan, lead and evaluate campaigns, events and programs that engage the workforce.

• Curate content for posting on company social media and digital platforms.

• Create high quality written copy for internal and external communications.

• Conduct informational interviews as part of content creation.

• Conduct cost comparisons of materials and supplies and place orders for approved items.

• Maintain a calendar of events and communicate relevant information to internal stakeholders.

• Coordinate volunteer help for employee engagement activities when needed.

• Manage content on digital display monitors throughout the facility.

• Compile DEI data to report and drive employee engagement.

• Partner with stakeholders across multiple departments to execute engagement strategies.

• Communicate engagement goals and plans to garner internal support and alignment.

• Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA or BS in Marketing, Communications, Business, Human Resources, Social Work, Sociology or related field.

• Demonstrated experience facilitating group discussion and representing an organization publicly.

• High energy and results-oriented leader who takes action with minimal direction.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to handle confidential information discretely and judiciously.

• Photography/video capture and editing abilities preferred.

• Excellent organizational and customer service skills, with high attention to detail and editing.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and programmatically.

• Proficient in Microsoft office suite, multiple social media platforms and design software.

• Ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.

• Able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds occasionally.

• Able to demonstrate initiative taking, problem solving and independent decision making.

• Demonstrate a high level of ownership with regard to job duties.

• Schedule flexibility to occasionally work evenings, weekends and community meetings.

• Bi- or multi-lingual preferred.
