Position Title: Linux Systems Administrator
Client: Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Hybrid (1–2 days onsite per week)
Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance Required
Shift timings: Monday-Friday (11:00 pm -7:00 am) Locations: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Mechanicsburg
Ogden, Utah
Montgomery, Alabama Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to support mission-critical infrastructure and enterprise services for DISA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration, systems maintenance, troubleshooting, automation, security compliance, and enterprise operations within a DoD environment. This position requires an active Secret clearance and Security+ certification. Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of hands-on Linux Systems Administration experience
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Current CompTIA Security+ certification (IAT Level II compliant)
Experience administering enterprise Linux environments such as:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Rocky Linux
CentOS
Oracle Linux
Strong understanding of:
Linux operating systems and kernel fundamentals
User, group, and permission management
File systems, storage, and volume management
Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls)
System monitoring and performance tuning
Experience with scripting and automation using:
Bash
Python
Ansible
Familiarity with STIG implementation and compliance requirements
Experience with patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening
Ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues
