Zantech is looking for a talented Senior Information System Security Officer to be responsible for the most complex systems and serves as the Cybersecurity Division's primary point of contact for an upcoming Onsite role supporting FEMA based out of their Headquarters in Washington, DC.

The Sr ISSO will be critical to program success, leading the information security Compliance Branch and working across all active call orders supporting systems identified for security authorization services.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

  • Lead cybersecurity compliance efforts for complex systems
  • Serve as primary POC for all security matters
  • Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs)
  • Conduct security assessments and authorize systems
  • Manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
  • Coordinate with system owners and stakeholders
  • Oversee continuous monitoring activities
  • Lead incident response activities for assigned systems
  • Provide cybersecurity guidance to senior leadership
  • Mentor junior ISSO staff
  • Works across all active call orders on assigned systems
  • May require deployment to disaster locations
  • Must support 24/7 operations during emergencies

Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:

  • 10+ years in cybersecurity and information systems security
  • Expert knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • DHS 4300A/4300B policy implementation
  • FISMA compliance and reporting
  • Security control implementation and assessment
  • Risk assessment and management
  • Security authorization processes
  • Incident response coordination
  • Vulnerability management
  • Cloud security architectures
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities

Required Certifications/Education:

  • IAT Level III: CISSP, CISM, or CASP+

Required Security Clearance:

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret/SCI or higher clearance, per contract requirements.
