Deer Valley Resort is nestled in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, in the historic mining town of Park City which has evolved into an exciting and diverse mountain ski town. Our staff consists of locals, transplants, seasonal workers from all 50 states and international students from around the globe. (Last year over 1,100 staff members celebrated their fifth season or more at Deer Valley).

PURPOSE OF POSITION : The Baker I is responsible for assisting in the presentation, display , and production of baked goods and pastries with an emphasis on quality, appearance and service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in preparing baked goods and other items as needed, following the prep list and designated recipes and procedures

  • Display baked goods creatively and keep displays well-stocked, clean, and organized

  • Present a courteous attitude to guests, going out of the way to offer assistance , on the phone or in person

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 3 months of experience in baking or culinary school

  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including early morning and evening shifts, at all four lodges

  • Must provide work shoes, French knife and other knives, spatulas , and pastry tools

  • Able to stand for long periods of time

  • Able to lift and carry full sheet pans

PAY RATE:
  • Pay: $20.00 - 22.5 per hour DOE
