Description
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
Cedar Ridge is located in a charming country setting, where at any given time, you can look out the window and see a plethora of animals, such as hawks, cranes, turkeys, and deer. We are located in close proximity to several horse farms and local farms. We look for employees with patience and compassion, to support the eight people who live at Cedar Ridge.
A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, First Aid/CPR, Tube, and Medication Administration certification.
HOURS: 36/Friday/Saturday/Sunday - 9:00 pm to 9:00 am
STARTING SALARY: $ 18.26 to $ 20.09 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • Acceptable NYS Driver's License
  • Computer skills
