Job description

ย
Metta Vita Health โ€“ Fort Mill, SC (Hybrid: In-Office + Remote)

Are you a therapist who lights up when working with kids, teens, and families โ€” someone who believes therapy is play, story, and connection?
At Metta Vita Health, weโ€™re redefining mental health care through a whole-person, integrated model that blends psychiatry, therapy, functional medicine, neurofeedback, and coaching for transformational outcomes.
Weโ€™re expanding our dynamic team and seeking a Child & Adolescent Therapist who brings warmth, creativity, and curiosity โ€” skilled in play therapy, EMDR, trauma-informed care, family systems, or expressive modalities. If you love helping young people regulate emotions, strengthen resilience, and heal through relationship and play, youโ€™ll thrive here.
Why Join Metta Vita Health

  • Integrated Whole-Person Care: Therapy works hand-in-hand with psychiatry, functional medicine, and neurofeedback for deeper, lasting healing.
  • Collaborative Team: Work alongside PMHNPs, therapists, and functional medicine providers who share your curiosity and commitment to growth.
  • Sustainable Practice: Primarily out-of-network model with BCBS credentialing underway โ€” manageable caseloads, reduced admin load, and more time for clients.
  • Hybrid Flexibility (Play Encouraged In Person!): Therapists typically work at least one day per week in office, with additional in-person days encouraged for clients who benefit from experiential, play-based, or trauma-processing work. Remote sessions remain an option for older teens, parents, and ongoing care.
  • Preventing Burnout: Streamlined workflows, admin and AI scribe support โ€” so you can focus on connection, not paperwork.
  • Professional Growth: Annual CE/training funds, EMDR certification support, and ongoing mentorship.
  • Creative Freedom: Develop groups or workshops โ€” social skills, emotional regulation, parent coaching, or expressive arts โ€” that reflect your passions.
Who Youโ€™ll Work With

Our clients include children, teens, and families navigating ADHD, anxiety, trauma, attachment challenges, adoption, and emotional intensity. Parents often seek guidance to better support their neurodivergent or highly sensitive children.
At Metta Vita Health, therapy goes beyond symptom management โ€” itโ€™s about restoring connection, building confidence, and healing families from the inside out.
What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Provide individual, family, and play therapy (younger children primarily seen in person).
  • Incorporate EMDR, CBT, DBT skills, play therapy, sand tray, and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, functional medicine, and neurofeedback clinicians for integrated care.
  • Participate in monthly or bi-monthly clinical staffing for peer consultation and community.
  • Develop or co-facilitate groups and family workshops.
  • Maintain timely documentation with EMR + AI tools.
  • Engage in professional growth opportunities supported by the practice.
What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Licensure: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, PsyD, or PhD (licensed or license-eligible in SC/NC).
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year post-licensure (2+ preferred) with child/adolescent specialization.
  • Training: EMDR trained or interest in certification preferred.
  • Mindset: Playful, compassionate, trauma-informed, and collaborative.
  • Values: Whole-person care, inclusion, and the belief that healing happens through relationship and play.

If youโ€™re passionate about child and teen mental health โ€” and believe therapy should be as engaging as it is effective โ€” weโ€™d love to hear from you.
โœจ At Metta Vita Health, we believe healing starts early โ€” and that therapy for kids and teens should feel safe, empowering, and deeply human. โœจ
