Marketing Lead (Space Tech / Deep Tech)

Dcubed

Denver, CO • On-site, Remote

$100K - $130K/yr

Full-time

Job description

Here is why you are going to love this role
At Dcubed, we build the deployable space hardware that powers the world's most ambitious missions, ranging from small satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) to technologies pushing toward the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Our patented shape-memory actuators and origami-inspired deployable structures are redefining "NewSpace" by making critical systems lighter, more reliable, and immediately available.
We are looking for a Marketing Lead (Space Tech / Deep Tech) to build and own our marketing function. You won't just be running campaigns. You'll be the strategic partner to Sales and Engineering, translating complex deep-tech capabilities into a compelling Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy that resonates with space agencies, prime contractors, and satellite integrators globally.
Our offices are based in Munich, Germany (HQ), and Johnstown, Colorado, US. The role can be based remotely within the EU or US, with regular international travel as part of the position. Within the EU, Germany would be the preferred location.
Why This Role Is Critical to Dcubed's Success
We are growing fast and already have customers in more than 25 countries. We need a builder who can thrive as a one-person marketing army today but has the vision to scale. You will bridge the gap between deep engineering and commercial success to ensure that when the world thinks of "release actuators and deployable space structures," they think of Dcubed.
What You'll Own & Build
This is a high-impact, full-stack marketing role with a heavy focus on Product Marketing and Sales Enablement.
  • Strategic Go-to-Market & Positioning: Define and refine our value proposition for distinct segments, specifically navigating the fast-paced buying cycles of NewSpace disruptors versus the rigorous procurement processes of Primes and Space Agencies.
  • Customer Intimacy & Market Intelligence: You will not market from an ivory tower. You'll join sales calls, interview customers, and build genuine relationships with engineers and procurement officers at our client organizations. You will act as the "Voice of the Customer" internally to ensure our messaging solves real problems.
  • Sales Enablement & Proposal Support: Equip our international sales team with pitch decks and one-pagers. Crucially, you will support the capture team by crafting the narrative sections of major RFIs/RFPs, ensuring our technical excellence translates into winning proposals.
  • Content & Story-telling: You'll be the primary writer and editor. You will produce and oversee the production of high-quality technical content, including white papers, use-case explainers, customer success stories, and press releases that simplify complex engineering without losing technical truth.
  • Demand Generation & Operations: Own the marketing pipeline end-to-end using HubSpot. Execute Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies-highly targeted campaigns focused on specific key decision-makers at large organizations.
  • Global Brand & Events: Plan and execute our presence at major industry conferences in the US and Europe to turn our booth into a hub of excitement and lead generation.

Here is what you bring to the table
  • Experience: You have 5+ years of Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing experience, specifically within Deep Tech, Hardware, or the Space Industry. You understand that selling hardware involves different challenges than selling software.
  • Native English-speaker: To communicate professionally across Europe and the US.
  • "One-Person Team" Mindset: You are comfortable oscillating between high-level strategy and hands-on execution. You can write the press release, update the website, and brief the sales team all in one day.
  • Technical Marketer: You are not afraid of the lab. You have an innate curiosity to understand not just what we build, but how it fails and why it works, allowing you to market our reliability with genuine authority.
  • Translator: You have a knack for grasping complex technical concepts (actuators, solar arrays, mechanisms) and translating them into clear, customer-centric messaging.
  • Global Collaborator: You are ready to work closely with engineering teams in Germany and sales teams in the US, acting as the glue between technical reality and market perception.
  • Dependability is a crucial characteristic for being successful in this role and in our team.

Nice to Have
  • Direct experience in the Commercial Space or Satellite sector.
  • Experience launching hardware products in an enterprise environment.

What We Offer
  • Impact: Your work will directly influence missions that go to the Moon and Mars.
  • Autonomy: The freedom to shape the marketing department and strategy from the ground up.
  • Global Team: A diverse, international environment with a footprint in both Europe and the US.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Applicants must be a US person (citizen or Green Card holder/permanent resident, or protected individual).

Benefits
  • Salary range:$100,000 - $130,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Competitive health insurance (medical, vision, dental)
  • Flexible PTO and sick leave
  • Discounted Pet Health Insurance
  • 401(k), plus company matching
  • Generous parental leave
  • Premium Coffee and Beverage Bar at the office
  • Dog friendly office environment
  • Team events
  • Opportunities for professional growth with a rapidly scaling aerospace company
