Job description

About the Role:

The Team Lead is in charge of supervising and mentoring field crews and ensuring the highest quality of customer service possible. They’ll be owners of their jobs and be a mentor to our Technicians in the field. Team Leads will also do hands-on work alongside the crews and provide excellent customer service before, during, and after the job.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Job preparation and ownership of job success. Includes holding team accountable for hitting their goals and performing high-quality work.
  • Onboarding and supporting new Technicians and Lead Technicians on job skills and customer service.
  • Mentorship of Technicians and Lead Technicians on and off the field
  • Providing feedback on improvements to operations and implementing those
  • Achieving high service and support ratings from customers and field teams
  • Working alongside the crews on a range of jobs, including:
    • Installing railings, shelves, TVs, and other safety or convenience items
    • Light handyman work and home maintenance
    • Moving, decluttering, cleanouts, and junk haul away
    • Seasonal yard cleanup, light landscaping, and snow removal
    • Gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and other exterior cleaning
    • Doing home safety walkthroughs and spotting potential issues
  • Troubleshooting with the field teams when issues arise

Skills We’re Looking For:

  • Alignment with our culture and core values
  • Experience supervising and mentoring field crews
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, and customer service orientation
  • 2+ years in property management or related construction fields
  • Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods 
  • Ability to perform various different home maintenance services
  • Great team player and ability to thrive in small, startup environments

Requirements:

  • Handyman, maintenance, or similar experience
  • Over 18 years of age 
  • Legally authorized to work in the US 
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Access to reliable vehicle for transportation
  • Able to pass a background check, drug screen, and driving record check
