A Snapshot of Your Day
As Facilities Project Manager, you will lead Project Orion, a significant CAPEX investment involving facility and office expansion at our Fort Payne, AL manufacturing site. This role is a new addition to provide dedicated project management and is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects that support business continuity and growth. Your day will be structured around three core areas: comprehensive project planning and design, on-site execution and construction management, and rigorous budget, schedule, and stakeholder oversight-ensuring a holistic approach to managing the project lifecycle from conception through completion.
You will develop detailed project scopes and coordinate with architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure designs meet operational needs, safety standards, and building codes. On site, you will oversee construction activities, manage contractors and vendors, and ensure projects are executed according to plan, on schedule, and within budget. You will also track project budgets and timelines, provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders, proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies, and ensure successful project closeout, including final inspections, documentation handover, and financial reconciliation.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Develop detailed project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders for facility expansion initiatives.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure facility designs meet operational needs, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are executed according to plan, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site project-related matters, facilitating communication between all parties.
  • Track and manage project budgets, including CAPEX reporting, monitor timelines and milestones, and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure successful project closeout, including final inspections, documentation handover, and financial reconciliation.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial), or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience managing large-scale industrial or manufacturing facility construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing significant CAPEX budgets and complex project schedules.
  • Strong background in facilities project management and construction management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and contract negotiation.
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Experience with project schedules, workflow management, and resource allocation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide clear, concise updates to leadership.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
