Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Poker Dealer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for dealing poker games efficiently and accurately while maintaining a friendly and engaging atmosphere. The Poker Dealer must ensure fair play, enforce house rules, and provide excellent customer service to all players.
Essential Functions -- Poker Dealer / Brush:
The following functions are considered essential to the position of Poker Dealer with Brush duties.
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
3. Deal Poker Games with accuracy and efficiency.
4. Manage the flow of live poker games.
5. Visually and manually handle cards, chips, and game equipment in accordance with gaming
regulations.
6. Perform basic mathematical and money handling tasks.
7. Accurately count, collect, and distribute chips and pots.
8. Monitor wagers and payouts while maintaining concentration in a fast-paced environment.
9. Provide consistent and professional Guest Service.
10. Communicate clearly and respectfully with players and Team Members.
11. Listen, speak, and respond appropriately in a noisy, crowded environment.
12. Perform brush and floor duties including:
a. Greeting, seating, and directing players.
b. Manage player waitlists and table assignments.
13. Monitor and maintain game integrity.
14. Observe player behavior and gameplay for accuracy and fairness.
15. Report irregularities, disputes, or suspicious activity to supervisors as needed.
16. Use required tools and equipment including operating shuffle machines, chip racks, and table
accessories.
17. Adhere to Gaming Regulations and Internal Policies, and follow all house rules, gaming laws, and responsible gaming practices.
18. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
19. Ensure that table areas are neat and properly stocked.
20. Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

Non-Essential Functions:
1. Assisting with general room cleaning (e.g., wiping tables, organizing chairs).
2. Training or mentoring new dealers (unless assigned formally).
3. Participating in promotional events or tournaments not part of regular shifts.
4. Engaging in customer service beyond gaming duties (e.g., escorting players, answering general casino inquiries).
5. Filing incident reports or assisting with non-routine paperwork.
6. Handling emergency evacuation procedures beyond normal expectations.
7. Moving or rearranging furniture or heavy fixtures (except chips or shuffle machine).
8. Acting as a floor supervisor or manager (unless cross-trained and scheduled for that role).
Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. One (1) or more years of poker dealing experience in a casino or card room environment. Formal
dealing school training may be accepted in lieu of experience.
3. Minimum age 21.
4. Ability to perform basic mental math quickly and accurately.
5. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
6. Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
7. Professional appearance and demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience performing brush or floor duties.
2. Knowledge of multiple poker variants (e.g., Texas Hold'em, Omaha).
3. Multilingual communication skills.
4. Prior customer service experience in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
5. Familiarity with casino management systems or player tracking tools.
