Position Description:
The Sales Manager will ensure the profitability of the Automotive Dealership by planning, motivating, and coordinating the dealership's management through leadership and solid business practices.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all salespeople.
  • Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees, always ensuring proper staffing.
  • Ensures that each customer is greeted as quickly as possible.
  • Implements and maintains a prospect tracking and follow-up system.
  • Helps salespeople close deals when necessary.
  • Communicates with new-vehicle and used-vehicle salespeople to ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed.
  • Conducts sales training meetings as directed by the general sales manager.
  • Forecasts aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives for individual salespeople and provides them with the support to meet these goals.
  • Assists in development of improvement programs for salespeople who are having difficulty reaching their objectives.
  • Ensures salespeople maintain a high customer satisfaction rating.
  • Recommends for dismissal any salesperson failing to meet dealership standards.
  • Contacts new owners within 24 hours of delivery to ensure complete satisfaction with sales and delivery process. Addresses any concerns or complaints immediately.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect vehicle sales.
  • Maintains and monitors CSI as per manufacturer requirements.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
  • Attends managers meetings as requested.
  • Other tasks assigned by Management.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • 5+ years minimum dealership sales and supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work with others in a complex matrix structure.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand profit and loss statements.
  • Ability to manage large, diverse staff.
  • Ability to work a (6) day work week.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Computer and internet savvy.
  • Proactive in nature.
  • Ability to plan and organize daily selling activities.
  • Ability to secure new business with daily follow up.
  • Experience in working with CRM's and follow up.
  • Experience providing quality customer service.
  • Strong team leader and team player.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

All applicants must pass pre-employment testing to qualify for employment. Pre-Employment testing includes a background check and drug testing.
Schedule:
  • 8-hour shift
  • Day Shift

Education/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • Five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
