Clay Subaru is looking for an experienced, motivated Automotive Sales Manager to join our management team.

We are a family-owned and operated dealership since 1949, and we believe you can run a high-performing sales department without creating a high-pressure environment. We are looking for a manager who can drive results, develop salespeople, maintain accountability, and provide an excellent experience for both our customers and our employees.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working deals, coaching a team, and helping build a strong dealership culture.


Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and hold the sales team accountable to daily, monthly, and annual goals
  • Desk deals and assist sales consultants with structuring and closing opportunities
  • Coach sales consultants on phone calls, internet leads, follow-up, product knowledge, and closing skills
  • Maintain strong CRM processes and ensure consistent customer follow-up
  • Monitor sales activity, appointments, closing ratios, and other key performance indicators
  • Conduct daily sales meetings and ongoing one-on-one coaching
  • Work closely with the General Manager and F&I department to maximize performance while maintaining a positive customer experience
  • Assist with vehicle appraisals and inventory management
  • Ensure pricing and deal structures are presented accurately and transparently
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and help resolve issues before they escalate
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales consultants
  • Help maintain a positive, competitive, team-oriented sales floor
  • Lead by example and uphold Clay Subaru's standards for professionalism and integrity
