Ross Downing Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Mobile is hiring an experienced New Car Sales Manager to lead our new vehicle sales department. This leadership role is responsible for driving revenue, managing sales performance, coaching a high-producing sales team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
We are looking for a proven automotive sales leader who understands new car operations, inventory management, dealership KPIs, and customer satisfaction metrics in a high-volume environment.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Sales Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of automotive sales consultants to achieve sales, gross, and CSI targets
  • Conduct daily sales meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching
  • Set clear expectations around lead management, follow-up, and closing processes

New Car Sales Strategy & Performance
  • Manage new vehicle sales performance, including volume, gross profit, and inventory turn
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor pricing to adjust strategy
  • Partner with the General Sales Manager to set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals

Customer Experience & CSI
  • Maintain a customer-first sales culture focused on transparency and satisfaction
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally
  • Build long-term customer relationships to drive repeat and referral business

Process, Inventory & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to dealership policies, sales processes, and manufacturer standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and support merchandising, pricing, and aging strategies
  • Utilize CRM and DMS tools to track performance and manage sales pipelines

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)
  • 3-5+ years of automotive sales management experience, preferably in new car sales
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills
  • Proven ability to drive vehicle sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction
