Job description

Pioneers is seeking a positive and dependable person to serve in the position of Housekeeping Assistant.
This role primarily provides housekeeping services for the lodging facility and additional office buildings on the campus. The Housekeeping Assistant should work in honesty, flexibility, and with passion for the work they do. We are glad to work alongside staff members who regularly speak Spanish and Portuguese.

Key qualifications we are looking for:

  • Strong customer service skills and a temperament that enjoys dealing with both adults and children.

  • Basic computer skills for checking emails and clocking in/out.

  • Has no allergies to dust or cleaning chemicals.

  • Has the availability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.

  • Has the ability to work independently and remain motivated.

  • Has the ability to work within a team.

  • Has the ability of prioritization and time management.

  • Works with speed and attention to detail in a professional way.

  • Ability to move/lift items up to 20 libs shoulder-high on a regular basis.

  • Ability to stand for 4 hours at a time and to do repetitive bending/reaching.


Responsibilities:

  • Cleans guest rooms and all common areas.

  • Cleans and sanitizes laundry.

  • Wash and fold laundry.

  • Fills out inventory and room check lists.

  • Restocks storage areas and supplies.

  • Performs other cleaning duties in office buildings as assigned.

  • Maintains equipment in good condition.

  • Reports on any damage or other issues in guest rooms.

  • Organizes and restocks cleaning carts.

  • Reports any needed cleaning supplies to supervisor.


Schedule:

15-29 hours per week (event-based)
