Job description

Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dependable attorney to provide part-time legal support for MA and CT multi-location new car dealership group. This role is ideal for a legal professional who enjoys working in a dynamic business environment and partnering closely with leadership to provide practical, business-minded guidance. The successful candidate will help support a range of day-to-day legal matters affecting dealership operations, compliance, contracting, and risk management. This position would be Part Time with the possibility of remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on matters related to dealership operations, business transactions, and general corporate needs.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including vendor contracts, service agreements, employment-related documents, and commercial leases as needed.
  • Assist with regulatory and compliance matters affecting automotive retail operations.
  • Support leadership with risk assessment, dispute resolution, and issue escalation.
  • Help develop and maintain policies and procedures that support legal compliance and operational consistency across locations.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel when specialized legal support is required.
  • Advise on employment, consumer, and business law issues relevant to dealership activities.
  • Monitor legal developments that may affect the organization and communicate practical recommendations.
  • Maintain organized records of legal matters, contracts, and correspondence.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
