Key Accountabilities of a Sales Manager:

  • Desk deals and oversee the sales floor including individual deal closing and the overall adherence to standards on sales processes
  • Lead, manage and support the sales team to hold them accountable to achieving current business and productivity goals
  • Work closely with the GSM to develop and execute a detailed training program to train, coach and mentor sales employees on best practices for closing deals and provide advice and guidance to improve sales performance
  • Conduct team and one-on-one meetings to share successes, understand and remove barriers to success and assist the sales team in progressing towards goal achievement.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management of employees while taking an active role in developing talent for the future
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty and generate referrals
  • Keep abreast of all the manufacturer’s current product and promotions and communicates changes to the sales team
  • Maintain effective communication within the sales department and with other leaders in the dealership; working together to identify opportunities and resolve issues
  • Performs other tasks and duties as required

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of leadership and sales experience, preferably in a dealership setting
  • Proven leadership ability and teambuilding skills to effectively motivate, inspire and manage employees
  • A team player committed to working with leadership and employees to ensure goal alignment and achievement
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills with a continuous improvement pedigree
  • Results driven with exceptional planning, organization and execution skills and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills including the ability to use tact, sensitivity, empathy and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees
  • Post secondary education in dealership management, business or a related area of study would be an asset
  • A valid Driver's License and satisfactory completion of a criminal and credit background check

Compensation details: 80000-100000 Yearly Salary
