Role Description:

Matterport is looking for a Deal Desk Analyst who will deliver critical support to the sales organization on complex deal structures. This critical role is responsible for actively working with sales, legal, revenue, and other cross functional teams on deal structuring and commercial terms for non-standard transactions.

The successful candidate will partner with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Sales, Legal, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Sales Engineering and Fulfillment. To be successful in this role, you must be excellent at cross-functional communications, data-driven, customer-oriented, and have very strong business, organizational and analytical skills. This individual contributor role is a true value-add partner and considered the business liaison to the field sales organization for all deals.

What you will do:

  • Manage and assist with Deal Structuring, Quoting and Pricing, Special Terms, Auditing Deals, and Exception Approvals Management.
  • Anticipate Sales teams' business needs through regular participation in pipeline reviews and forecast calls. Serve as an escalation point to shepherd the deals to closure and drive increased deal velocity.
  • Partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Accounting, Billing, Engineering, InfoSec, and Legal to review and prepare approval requests for non-standard deal elements and critical processes
  • Document, communicate, and enforce pricing, discounting and deal policies
  • Guide Regional Sales Leadership team on deal structuring in a way that maximizes ARR whilst operating at the same cadence and urgency as the field.
  • Review and approve, based on policy and accounting guidance, complex quotes and sales orders.
  • Drive and define opportunities for automation via Salesforce CPQ in the quote to cash cycle to support initiatives of the Deal Desk.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in order management, deal desk, finance, contracts, sales operations, or revenue role
  • Working knowledge or exposure with Salesforce or other CRM tools and or CPQ tools.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders including individual sales reps, sales management, and senior leadership.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and maintain both a proactive and positive attitude
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience delivering high level of quality work and takes pride in accuracy, timeliness and completeness
  • Proactive tendencies with ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, anticipate needs, and exceed expectations
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, results-oriented and growth environment
  • Flexible to work extended hours during peak periods
  • History of consistently meeting established individual performance objectives
  • Skilled with reporting and presentation tools, such as Looker and Google Docs
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not for profit, in-person college or university
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.

  • Software/SaaS industry experience desired but not required
  • Experience in navigating through non-standard Enterprise deal process desired but not required
