Job description

Position Summary

As a CoVentures Deal Associate, you work in close partnership with a Deal Lead to drive their book of CoVentures opportunities forward. Deal Associates typically support each Deal Lead and act as the analytical and execution engine that lets the Deal Lead operate in market.

Recruiting for this role ends on 08/31/2026.

Work you'll do

You own the analytical, operational, and execution work that moves deals from sourcing through diligence and into structuring - including market research, financial modeling, target company analysis, materials development, and coordination across enabling functions. You are a heavy user of the team's agentic operating system, and you act as product manager for an agentic workflow domain assigned by your Deal Lead, evolving how that domain operates as connectors and infrastructure come online.

This is a high-leverage role for a deal associate practitioner with strong strategic and quantitative chops who wants to learn deal-making by doing - running diligence, building business cases, sitting in pitches, and watching deal structures get architected in real time. Sourcing and qualification of potential deals

  • Deal execution and diligence
  • Materials and pitch development
  • Pipeline ownership and sourcing support

The successful candidate would possess these skills:

  • Ability to own pitch narrative from concept through executive-ready artifact, spanning verbal story arc and interactive visual deliverables; iterate with the Deal Lead balancing accuracy, brand standards, and audience calibration
  • Translate complex business model trade-offs (GTM vs. product/BPaaS framing, licensing vs. exclusivity, equity vs. revenue share) into clear decision-ready options for senior leadership
  • Surface inbound opportunities and source outbound targets from market intelligence, alliance intel, and VC portfolio scanning; build target lists for Deal Lead review
  • Demonstrated ability to operate under ambiguity and tight time constraints
  • Comfort coordinating across enabling functions and senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Initiative and curiosity - willingness to take initiative on diligence, sourcing, and analysis without being directed at every step
  • Active user of Claude and agentic tooling; readiness to act as PM for an agentic workflow domain
  • Hands-on experience with financial modeling for complex deal structures
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies (AI/GenAI/Agents, data platforms, SaaS products) and how they shape business cases

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of constructing financial models, market sizing models, and structured analyses with limited oversight
  • 4+ years producing executive-ready materials in slide and document format
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in strategy, innovation, corporate development, M&A, venture investing, or related analytical-and-execution roles
  • Ability to travel 10-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • MBA or other advanced degrees in business, finance, innovation, or technology
  • 4+ years prior experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate development, venture investing, or a similar analytical-and-execution role
  • Background working with or within startups, new ventures, or innovation labs
  • International experience and/or ability to operate effectively in cross-cultural contexts

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $134,500-$265,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
