As a leading manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies and equipment for healthcare simulation and education, Pocket Nurse provides solutions and services that create hands-on learning experiences for the next generation of healthcare professionals. Our small business philosophy is, “Use your best judgement every day.” Not only do we give team members the guidance and tools to succeed, we give them autonomy to do their best for the company to succeed. • Serves as an authorized representative to sign for deliveries at customer locations.
  • Inspects deliveries for accuracy and damages while unloading materials.
  • Uses protective measures on products such as blanket wrapping to prevent facility damage during transport.
  • Builds and assembles equipment according to blueprints and instructions using provided hand and power tools including screw drivers, wrenches, power drills, hammers, stud finders, levels and more.
  • Provides professional customer service throughout each installation project.
  • Removes packaging materials and debris after installation.
  • Tracks project progress and reports issues, improvement opportunities, and completion status to management.
  • Supports Distribution Center operations, including order fulfillment, during non-travel times.
  • Adheres to all company safety policies and promptly reports safety risks or violations to management.

Travel:

  • Travel is project-based and varies throughout the year.  Some installation projects require overnight travel for several consecutive days. Travel opportunities may grow to 65% and will be by company-provided vehicle or air.

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).

Skills and Experience:

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Must be dependable and able to work on specified schedules that may include weekends and overnights for installations at customer locations.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints and dimensioned diagrams.
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
  • Prior experience in assembly required including ability to operate hand and power tools while using a ladder.
  • Ability to operate push carts and pallet jacks.
  • High attention to detail regarding product awareness and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to make independent decisions while at customer locations regarding sourcing missing materials.
  • Previous experience working with a moving or installation company a plus.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Competitive wages and quarterly bonus opportunities.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage options.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Paid time off, personal time, and paid holidays.
  • Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability insurance.
  • Voluntary life, accident, critical illness, and long-term disability insurance.
  • Company-wide cookouts, lunches, and work-day events.
  • On-site fitness center, free parking, and dog-friendly offices.
