Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The DC Automation Lead role is to help the DC Automation Supervisor oversee the day to day operations of the Distribution Center (DC). This position will be involved with tuning and troubleshooting the warehouse systems and a variety of technologies. This individual also participates in the training, planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. They will be responsible for being an example to technicians using a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a “Creekstone Proud” culture through attitude and actions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and in conjunction with department leadership.
  • Coordinate with technicians, other departments, and outside vendors to coordinate appropriate measures to address system failures
  • Supervise the maintenance of workstations, printers, scanners, and other DC equipment
  • Help manage DC equipment.
  • Create required reports in response to business needs.
  • Participate in maintaining the budget .
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of the PM program.
  • Train and/or provide guidance to other members of the team.
  • Deliver against monthly targets using leading indicator Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
  • Manage and promote accountability and success promoting a Creekstone Proud Culture.
  • Assist the DC Automation Supervisor as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • 1 to 3 years equivalent work experience required.
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, project management or engineering preferred.
  • Strong Knowledge/Concept of Automation systems
  • Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner
  • To ability to promote and coach Creekstone Proud behaviors.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Climbing occasionally, stooping occasionally, crouching occasionally, standing for 8 or more hours per day, walking frequently, pushing frequently, pulling frequently, gasping frequently, repetitive motions frequently, lifting: 0 – 100#, Exposure to a variety of environments such as Cold, Hot, Wet, Humid; Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – hard hat, safety-toe boots, safety goggles, hair/beard net, etc.
