Job Title: Director of Food & Beverage
Location: Holiday Inn West I-10, Mobile, Alabama
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: General Manager

Position Summary:

The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for leading and managing all food and beverage operations at the Holiday Inn West I-10 in Mobile, AL. This includes oversight of the hotel's restaurant, bar/lounge, banquet and catering services, and in-room dining. The role requires a strategic leader with a hands-on approach to ensure high-quality guest experiences, operational efficiency, financial profitability, and compliance with brand and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar, banquets/events, and room service.

  • Develop and execute departmental strategies to drive revenue, manage costs, and enhance guest satisfaction.

  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing F&B team focused on exceptional service, cleanliness, and efficiency.

  • Create menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef, considering guest preferences, seasonality, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Manage scheduling, labor control, inventory, and ordering to maintain operational and financial targets.

  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to exceed expectations in service, quality, and presentation.

  • Ensure all food and beverage outlets comply with health regulations, safety standards, and IHG brand requirements.

  • Partner with Sales and Events teams to support catering and banquet opportunities, including execution and follow-up.

  • Develop promotional strategies and events to boost F&B sales and local community engagement.

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance reports.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business Management, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in food and beverage within a full-service hotel or similar environment.

  • Proven experience managing restaurant and banquet operations; IHG brand experience is a plus.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.

  • Ability to analyze data and financial metrics to drive decision-making.

  • ServSafe, TIPS, or other food safety/alcohol service certifications preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems (e.g., Micros/Oracle).
