SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Human Resources Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR department's functions and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR processes. Responsibilities will include talent acquisition, HRIS maintenance, benefits administration support, onboarding, and Leave of Absence administration. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Drive Talent Acquisition efforts, including sourcing and screening candidates and proactive outreach to identify qualified talent.
  • Facilitate full-cycle recruitment activities, including job description development, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, coordinating with third-party staffing sources, and processing background checks.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation
  • Support the HRIS system, including data entry, report generation, data integrity, and system configuration and customization
  • Assist as secondary support in leave of absence administration, including FMLA, federal, state, and other applicable leave programs.
  • Support benefits administration as needed, including helping employees with benefit inquiries and enrollment processes.
  • Support in employee relations by resolving workplace concerns, conducting investigations, and facilitating conflict resolution
  • Participate in organization employee engagement initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.  Typical qualifications would be:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field strongly preferred. 
  • 3+ years of experience in human resources, recruiting or related. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, 
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Ceridian/Dayforce preferred) & Microsoft Office 
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills 
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ceridian/Dayforce HRIS system experience
  • SHRM-CP Certification

  • Position may require local travel between Michigan Facilities in Metro Detroit (20%)
