Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE 

The Washroom team plays an essential role in keeping our production running smoothly. In this position, employees are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all plant processing equipment to ensure it meets our highest GMP and food safety standards. This role directly supports the safe and efficient movement of raw materials through production and helps ensure our finished products are ready for customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Operate high-pressure hoses to wash and rinse equipment and production areas, effectively applying water and sanitizing solutions.
  • Arrange plastic containers on the conveyor tray washer for optimal cleaning.
  •  Collect and stack cleaned containers onto plastic pallets. 
  • Wash pots, pans, utensils, gondolas, and other necessary food processing equipment as required.
  • Operate the tray washer machine with precision and efficiency.
  • Execute tasks within a fast-paced environment, ensuring productivity and meeting quality requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of safety policies, USDA guidelines, GMPs, QA protocols, HACCP regulations, sanitation rules, and company policies.
  •  Encourage and support a positive work atmosphere, promptly communicating any employee workplace issues to the supervisor

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.



Requirements

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualified candidates will generally possess the following education, knowledge, skills, and abilities:

MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE AND WORK AROUND RAW MEAT AND BLOOD.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be able to understand the food safety protocols, food service regulations, health regulations, and adhere to proper sanitation practices that will be taught to you.
  • Present a neat and clean appearance consistently.
  • Be able to effectively communicate, both in verbal and written form.
  • Have an ability to communicate to your coworkers and the ability to work together within a team environment.
  • Understand and follow all company procedures, supervisor instructions, and regulations pertaining to food handling and sanitation.
  • Ability to work schedule that may include day shifts, night shifts, holidays, and weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job requires regular physical activity. The employee must be able to:

  • Lift, carry, push, and pull items 
  • Reach and use hands to handle or move objects 

Most lifting is light. The employee may:

  • Lift less than 1 pound up to 40% of the time 
  • Lift between 1 and 60 pounds occasionally (less than 15% of the time) 
  • Lift more than 60 pounds rarely 

Work may be done in different positions, including:

  • Sitting 
  • Standing 
  • Walking 
  • Stooping 
  • Bending 

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

This job requires steady focus and attention. The employee must:

  • Stay alert throughout the shift
