Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Day Warehouse Supervisor in Houston, TX. 

Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Texas. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.

General Summary:

The Day Warehouse Supervisor will be directly responsible for the supervision of the day shift. Responsibility includes managing all operational requirements with a focus on quality, safety, cost reduction, company policy as well as other areas as determined by Management. Accountable for executing business plans from department goals, objectives to meet key performance indicators (KPI) and to achieve safety, quality, value, and cost reduction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage operations of the warehouse, including returns, receiving, put away, transfers, restock, freight, parcels, and conversion.
  • Lead and develop the warehouse team to deliver unparalleled customer service.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Responsible for associate development through training on policy & procedures. Creates a cohesive organization by keeping lines of communication open and directs workforce to insure efficient workflow.

Requirements

  • 1 – 2 years of previous warehousing managing experience.
  • 1 - year Fresh Produce experience preferred
  • Power Pallet Jacks: (Required)
  • Prior experience working in the food industry.
  • Must be able to work effectively with other employees, and other departments within the company.
  • Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, and reach.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in 35 to 70-degree temperatures.
