Registered Behavior Technician
Reports To: Branch Manager
Shift: 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
Status: Non-Exempt
Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician
About Applied Behavior Center for Autism:
At the Applied Behavior Center for Autism, our mission is to provide individualized, evidence-based services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.
Position Overview:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will provide direct, one-on-one behavioral therapy and interventions to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Required Qualifications:

  • Active RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Compensation:
Pay Range: $19-$27 per hour based on prior RBT experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Therapy & Intervention:
    • Deliver individualized ABA therapy sessions, applying evidence-based interventions to support clients' development and behavior management.
    • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as developed by the BCBA.
    • Promote and reinforce adaptive behaviors and discourage maladaptive behaviors.
    • Provide direct care, including working on tasks related to communication, socialization, academic skills, and daily living activities.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the BCBA to discuss treatment progress and client needs.
    • Participate in team meetings, providing input about the clients' progress, behavior, and development.
    • Engage in regular communication with families to provide updates on client progress and reinforce strategies at home.
  • Professional Development:
    • Maintain RBT certification by completing ongoing training and education, as required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
    • Actively participate in training and supervision sessions with the BCBA to ensure fidelity in the implementation of behavior intervention strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and strategies.
  • Familiarity with behavior management systems and data collection procedures.
  • Experience working in a clinical or educational setting.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to actively engage with children, including physical movement such as kneeling, standing, sitting on the floor, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to remain patient and composed in challenging situations.
Work Environment:
  • The work environment is primarily within the Applied Behavior Center for Autism, which includes therapy rooms, classrooms, and common areas for client interactions.
  • Some travel may be required for home or school visits.
