About us

Journeys Autism Center offers families center-based, one-to-one ABA services in South Bend, Indiana. ABA provides each client with individualized and ongoing programming to promote pro-social skills that increase independence in all areas of development. Targeted skills are broken down into smaller parts and taught using a variety of data-driven and systematic approaches.

Training

Journeys provides all initial training as well as ongoing training for Registered Behavior Technicians and Board Certified Behavior Analysts. We have partnered with Endicott College's Institute for Applied Behavioral Science to provide discounted tuition for a master's degree program in ABA! Additionally, our initial and ongoing training is completed or overseen by the Director of Research and training to provide the most updated and evidenced-based services possible. Job Duties:

Implementing individualized programs based on Applied Behavior Analysis, including:

  • Direct 1: 1 therapy service
  • Development of new academic, behavioral, social, and daily living skills
  • Effective response to difficult or disruptive behaviors
  • Interact with the child and family
  • Record behavior data from your client interaction
  • Collaborate with the Chief Clinical Officer and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Job Description

This is a position working 1:1 directly with children and adolescents with autism. Work performed includes specially designed instruction to meet the unique treatment needs of each client. ABA 1:1 Instructors help children to develop mentally, physically, emotionally, and vocationally through the provision of appropriate individualized programming and education. RBTs help children with exceptionalities to progress in educational and other social settings and prepare for life after school.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm.


Job Requirements

A minimum of a High School Diploma and many candidates have associate's or bachelor's degrees.

Journeys provides paid training during orientation for new hires to attain the RBT certification.
