Job description

The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for operating double-needle and topstitch sewing machines to assemble and finish garment components according to quality standards and production requirements. The operator ensures accurate stitching, maintains productivity targets, and follows workplace safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate double-needle and topstitch sewing machines to sew garment parts.
  • Perform precise topstitching and double-needle stitching according to specifications.
  • Read and follow work orders, patterns, and sewing instructions.
  • Inspect garments for stitch quality, alignment, and defects before and after sewing.
  • Maintain consistent stitch quality while meeting daily production goals.
  • Replace needles, thread machines, and perform basic machine maintenance.
  • Report machine malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow company quality standards, safety policies, and production procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadline
