Non-Licensed Reactor Operator (NRO) Consultants

Nationwide Opportunity

$50–$63+/hr + 1.5x OT
$890/week per diem
Home trip every 12 weeks
Mobility/Demobilization paid
12+ month contract
Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Up to 8 hours OT/week

The Planet Group is currently seeking experienced NROs, Auxiliary Operators, Equipment Operators, Systems Operators, and Nuclear Plant Operators for a hands-on field operations assignment at a commercial nuclear generating station.

Must-Have Experience:
  • 5+ years of commercial nuclear operations experience
  • BWR experience preferred; PWR considered
  • Extensive valve manipulation
  • Equipment clearances / tagging
  • Isolation boundary development
  • System lineups and equipment status control
  • Plant rounds and field operations
  • P&ID / system print interpretation
  • Work orders and operational impact reviews
  • Strong nuclear plant systems knowledge

This is a hands-on field position—ideal for operators who are comfortable spending the majority of their shift in the plant operating equipment and supporting daily plant operations.
