Coordination of evaluation and screening process for patients with cardiac disease being evaluated for complex cardiac surgery. Serve as the primary point person for the valve team, including physicians, patients, and other clinical professionals. Coordination of inter-departmental processes and communication. Make recommendations to physician team for final determination. Serve as patient navigator.
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Required
Work Experience
  • 3 years of nursing experience in cardiology or critical care Required
  • Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of current medical, surgical and pharmaceutical treatment modalities of the cardiothoracic surgical patient. Experience in program development, quality improvement, research, development of evidence based clinical protocols, and regulatory readiness program planning. Previous experience in professional presentations and group education Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
